So lets just look at what meager rewards that whole fiasco got us.
OK so the DLC just blew the economy balance out of the water. It just gave us in the neighbourhood of 2000 credits. Not that we can’t blow through that in 15 seconds, but that is a huge amount of resources to just plop down in our laps. It’s also give us two fusion cores which are basically end game tech, which is ridiculous as well. If I had known it was going to be this imbalancing I wouldn’t have activated the DLC.
Also more guys. Excellent.
Now that we have all these resources though, its not like we’re not going to use them, I think we can manage to get our nexus up next month.
While I do like the potential fun of obliterating everyone’s cover with explosives and then Greg finishing them all off…
Double tap is just too good. +16 Will +6 Aim +1 Health.
Oh my yes.
Battle scanners are fun and all, but no. +5 Will, +3 Aim.
But always take double shot. +5 Will +4 Aim.
Since Dan is apparently panicky mcpanicson, he gets the stop being a big baby medal.
To buy other things.
This is only the beginning.
Gonna buy me six satellites.
Everybody do a happy dance!
Required upgrade of the century.
Satellite nexus, you’ll soon be mine.
Sure hope this zealous selling doesn’t bite me later.
We need more power now though.
I’m actually surprised no country has been demanding things yet.
These have a damage range of 1-3! Gods pistols suck more than I remember.
Whelp, we’ve got this month’s satellites at least.
Damnit. Guess I have to start stationing two interceptors in countries.
Plus we missed our shot at the outsider.
And have to buy a new plane.
You’re on the really big screen. This is clearly good news.
Congratulations. You have made my list faster than I thought was possible. You’ve managed to bump Agent 47 out of top spot in one fell swoop.
Aside from completely screwing up your life, they can also steal your money and set your research back. So they’re basically well funded dicks.
What are they even trying to do, and why are all our invoices sent to XLT Inc for all the stuff we sell off?
It’s a good thing our designated secret agent isn’t in the hospital…. oh wait. Crap.
Aaaand we don’t get body armor because that would be conspicuous. We go with Greg because he has the best chance of actually surviving this.
And now we wait.
We’re in very real danger of losing the engineer income to put us to nexus levels now.
Takes six days to do covert ops, which means if we had been hit any later in the month we woulda been screwed.
Better supplement our engineering income.
These standard power generators are god awful, but its gonna be a few weeks until we can get an elerium reactor online.
We still have so much stuff we could liquidate.
Good thing we have a target to spend that on.
Don’t get excited just yet, I miscalculated the power requirements, so this gets cancelled a little later on.
I’m enjoying this research projects finish in a timely manner business.
Next month is going to be amazing, or disastrous because I’ve miscalculated.
Bye Bye, sweet potential. I really want to play an easy game where I just go straight for robots because satellites aren’t nearly as important.
Whelp. Moment of truth time.
Good, I can safely ignore that.
Good, I’m forced to take this anyway, so it’s nice to get something out of the deal.
And I can ignore that as well! Yay. Seriously though if another invasion hits we basically lose Asia.
OK. Capture time for reals.
Look at all that explosive cover.
Floaters and Meld.
Want to knock one of them out so we can capture the other.
33. 1/3rd the way to triple digits.
Wasting exp, but less shooting at us is always appreciated.
Or not, we’re flexible.
Whelp, good luck.
Stupid AI manages to do something annoying.
Clearly everyone’s getting used to the new weapons.
34. So glad I spent 24 million dollars getting you guys laser pistols.
Let’s just get rid of the suppression and make with the capturing.
Or not I guess.
Come on DR-chan, I need a break today.
Now to bag us a floater.
The meld is collected without further incident.
Hello secondary capture target.
I like those odds.
P.S. More floaters.
Go away, I’ve already got one of you.
No shotgun means Brent can actually hit things at distance.
One left to go.
Well that doesn’t bode well.
I’m not sure to be mad because he missed, or glad because he didn’t kill our capture target.
I’m not sure Brent appreciates it either way.
We would be pretty screwed without our veterans, so lets endevour to not lose them.
We need a backup sniper in case Greg bites it on this covert mission.
Shannon is resisting that.
OK. Time for someone who can aim to deal with this.
We’ve got a nice windowless skyranger with lots of candy.
You’ve won an all expense trip to Africa, courtesy of XCOM!
But you have to act right now.
OK, little more getting shot than I think we’d like, but we grabbed us some goodies for the good doctor.
Another low move assault. Geez.
Next time, we go on an extraction mission so Greg can hopefully continue living.
