So, we’ve clearly found additional mythic volcanoes, because we just unlocked two new medals.
Hrm, I wonder what the conditions for attaining that are. Presumably taking missions on other continents than your home base or something silly.
Well that’s just vague.
That was a few more aliens than we’ve had to deal with so far, at least we’re going to have one heck of a yard sale later.
Oh, good. I kind of need to actually build one of you this game.
So we’re actually moving towards decent financial shape. I’m not thrilled that I died on an operation with such a lame name though.
We go with not panicking.
And +2 aim per continent bonus. Good long term benefit.
I figure if they hear it twice they might actually remember.
Never let the people with explosives panic.
We checked, the dropouts are much better shots than the graduates.
Kaitlin gets all the bonuses for carrying that mission.
Oh my gods, YES YES YES.
Greg’s survivability just shot through the roof. +3 Will, +3 Aim, +1 Health.
I do enjoy more explosives.
More than I enjoy three medikit uses, especially since everyone seems to get that. +5 Will, +0 Aim, +1 Health.
No OTS until the power finishes. This is actually concerning.
But we’ve gotten pretty much the max amount of satellites we need for the month.
Crap. We made it like an hour before this popped up. So it’s probably a good thing we’ve got all these satellites.
Although it’s looking like we could have got them for cheaper if we had waited.
As much as I need more qualified personnel, I’m not willing to throw away Europe for a heavy.
This works in our favor, actually. This will push both countries in South America to 4 panic, which will allow me to grab one with a satellite and only leave one target for the aliens to land at, which I can defend next time or just pop an additional satellite to grab the continent bonus.
We’re going with no supports and two heavies, since assault rifles suck. Really want that OTS so I can start dragging more people who need promotions around.
Oh yay. Mass amounts of explosive cover.
Well, this seems quaint.
Oh, nice, meld is close by and with a high timer to boot.
Oh. You’re in all the missions now. Great. Nothing better than two unavoidable damage.
Reaction fire is proving less effective at preventing these things than I’d like.
At least they don’t get cover bonuses.
It’s everyone’s favorite cereal, B!
It goes great with 2% meld or even skim meld, available in the drinks aisle of your local retailer.
We’ve even got floaters hanging around. Really need that carapace armor pronto.
The cinematic cam seems better with the expansion, but you still get the occasional issue.
I like to think that on the way back to the skyranger we just clean this place out, because the commander feels that food is an unnecessary expense when we could be building giant robots instead.
I make the troops buy all their own ammo, as well. It rewards and incentivizes good marksmanship.
Kaitlin gets a discount because she’s competent.
Really, seriously, competent.
Sadly, you don’t get both an overwatch shot and a close combat specialist shot with destealthing enemies :(
Which is quite unfortunate for Greg.
How bad was the penalty on that shot? Yeesh.
OK. Liking shotguns.
We get a bead on where the meld is.
Sectoids and Seekers and Floaters, oh my. We’re some thin men away from having everything under the sun.
Or… wow… when Kaitlin screws up a shot she goes whole hog. That’s unfortunate.
Well, you can redeem yourself by destroying this jerk.
Oh hey, more floaters.
I am enjoying that most of Greg’s shots have at worst a 50% chance of hitting.
Really want lasers though.
And this is the downside of shotguns.
Luckily we can move closer and increase those odds.
I went with the shotgun at 51% because I’m fun like that.
That is a most beautiful sight. Greg gets hit for 0 damage.
Arguably better than the car getting set on fire.
Sometimes I wish the misses didn’t look quite so ridiculous.
No one else has a line on this thing, and I’m feeling that tempting fate is not a good idea.
That sectoid is super exploded.
I’m not too bitter about the meld. We still don’t have a way to spend it, and its going to be a while before we do at this rate.
Not that I don’t love having two LTs, I just wanted less low level people.
Next time, maybe we get to spin the world long enough to spend some more of our money.
